The Best of Times receives 12 awards

at national senior publishers convention

November 15, 2010… The Best of Times, a free monthly newsmagazine for mature adults in Northwest Louisiana, received twelve (12) national journalism awards at the annual meeting of the North American Mature Publishers Association (NAMPA) held in Branson, Missouri in early November. The prestigious University of Missouri School of Journalism, considered one of the top journalism schools in the country, judged these awards.

The Best of Times received awards in a wide variety of editorial and design categories, including the coveted overall Best of Show in our category. Editorial awards received were for Senior Issues regular column, Urgent Senior Issues feature article, Briefs/Shorts, and Column Review. Design awards included Feature Layout, Briefs/Shorts, Best Color Ad, Table of Contents, Banner, and Web Self Promotion. Additionally the magazine’s website www.TheBestOfTimesNEWS.com won first place for Website General Excellence.
