4th Annual Scrabble® Tournament to be held on April 10th

Make plans to participate in the 4th Annual Scrabble® Tournament hosted by the Literacy Volunteers at Centenary College on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 12 noon to 5 pm at Kilpatrick Hall located at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana.  The Kilpatrick Hall is located in the Smith Building at the corner of Kings Highway and Woodlawn Avenue.  Advance registration entry fees are $25 for adults and $10 for students, but at the door registration fees are $30 for adults and $15 for students.  This tournament is limited to the 144 players

There will be two levels of play: Beginner and Experienced. Participants will play in two-person teams with the rules of “traditional game-play” consisting of three – 50 minute rounds of competition. It is not necessary to have a partner to enter this tournament as partner players will be assigned on the appropriate level of entry as needed. There will be prizes awarded for First and Second Place in each play level with $200 per team for First Place and $100 per team for 2nd place.

Registration begins at 12 noon with play beginning at 1:00 pm.
