Be part of Music History and Help Break a Guinness Book of World Records on Saturday, August 22nd in Shreveport, Louisiana

At the 2009 James Burton International Guitar Festival in Shreveport on August 21-22, 2009, there will be attempt to set a Guinness world record for the most number of guitarists playing guitars at the same time and same song (An Elvis songs, of course) on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 2 pm at the  Hirsch Coliseum located at the Louisiana State Fair Grounds in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Guitarists  are needed from all over the US and world to join us. You don’t need to be a professional, but just bring your guitar and have a love for music and Elvis.  Please, sorry no bass guitars, but bass players can bring their 6 or 12 string guitars. We are prefer acoustic guitars, but electric guitars are welcome, but access to electrical power or amplifiers is not readily available for this event.

Many of this year’s festival special musical guests will join in the record making event.Everyone will be in the official photograph, in the music video, and featured in an Guinness Book of World Records, on a video on “YouTube” and on James Burton website and many other website across the world.

There are charges or fees to participate in the event at 2 pm on August 22nd. however, each guitarist MUST register either online or in person to participate.  Your can register from 6 pm to 12 midnight at Festival Plaza on Friday, August 21st or from 9;00 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 22nd at Hirsch Coliseum.  You can also register online by visiting the website at http://www.james-burton.net/
