hosts 2012 Douglas Stewart Parade of Stars Benefit Ball on

Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 6 pm at Sam's Town Casino and Hotel in Shreveport

New Horizons Independent Living Center will honor ten(10) persons for the Shining S.T.A.R.S. Award, honoring individuals with disabilities (18 years of age and over), living in the Shreveport-Bossier community, who Show Tenacious And Remarkable Strength (STARS). These are individuals who have excelled in life in spite of their limitations. They exemplify independent living and radiate throughout the community. The honorees will be presented during the 2012 Douglas Stewart Parade of Stars Benefit Ball on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the SamsTown Casino Ballroom, located on Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport from 6 to 11 pm.

Tickets are $50 per person which include the gourmet meal, entry into the Grand Prize raffle, great headliner entertainment by Trini Triggs, country-western recording artist from Natchitoches.
